My wife and I were incredibly fortunate to find Danielle Stowell and Wicked River Event Production to plan our wedding. Danielle helped provide us both with peace of mind and comfort that she had things under control while helping us bring our vision into reality — from beginning to end, to walked us through the wedding planning process with the necessary expertise, chill, and encouragement. My husband and I met with countless wedding planners for our wedding. We wanted a unique wedding with a small guest list that would be a weekend away in Galena with events all weekend long for all of our guests. Meeting with wedding planners to start preparations we found that most of the planners had a preset menu of vendors/venues that they would allow us to use without any room for deviation. This may work for some, but we wanted to be more involved to make our wedding a more memorable experience and less of a cookie cutter Disney experience.
When we met Danielle, she made it clear that she was here to help make our wedding exactly we wanted. She listened to us and worked with our minuscule budget to create a grand wedding. One way she is able to accomplish this is her involvement in the community. She knows everyone in the area and her reputation is excellent. Through these connections she was able to guide us to the perfect vendors for us and the wedding we were looking to create. We met several of our vendors at events that she was hosting in the community. We went to a food truck festival she was hosting to choose what food we liked best for our guests. We went to a farmer’s market that she runs to find flowers and a band. She also took the time to research and set up meetings with several outdoor venues for our wedding. She graciously dealt with our indecision and my pre-wedding panic.
After attending many of her events and our wedding it is clear that her sterling reputation is deserved. Danielle is a brilliant event planner and an exceptional wedding planner. We were lucky to have her because our big day would not have been the same without her. I hope when the pandemic is over, we can use her services again for an anniversary party.

Danielle was absolutely fantastic in helping my rehearsal dinner and wedding day run smoothly. She is conscientious, detail-oriented, punctual, and was the best money I spent on my wedding (seriously). FANTASTIC.
