Though he still performed many incredible feats, his parents feared that Kamsa, the demon king of Mathura, would fulfill his prophecy to kill Krishna. To protect their prince, Devaki and Vasudeva sent him away with the cowherd to the picturesque Vrindavan, a village near Mathura.
It was there, in Vrindavan, that Krishna grew up and consolidated his reputation as a divine prince.
