My now wife and I had a very pleasant experience working with Lydia. Lydia made the whole experience feel easy and seamless. All of the planning was done over the phone since we are nonresidents of the area, but we were never concerned that the ceremony would not go well. Lydia is very accommodating with scheduling time to talk and she is prompt in her responses. Our ceremony was beautiful, the planning was easy, and Lydia was very pleasant to work with overall. I would recommend Weddings By Lydia to anyone who was looking to get married in this area.

Lydia is amazing, my husband and I renewed our wedding vows of 20 years. Lydia was there every step of the way, and just a phone call/email away; would respond within hours to answer all of my questions. After all of our calls I felt a sense that I was working with a true professional. We came in from Northern Georgia and she took care of everything from the ceremony, steel drummer, photographer, florist and the sand ceremony (photo below) as part of the package. Thank you Lydia for being integral in making what our daughter and son-in-law have described as a wedding that was perfect for them. As the mother of the bride, I would like to thank you specifically for the following: 1) treating our daughter and son-in-law as the treasures they are to us; 2) helping us pivot from a society wedding in our large, metropolitan home city to Pensacola Beach, a place that we had never been; 3) recognizing that underlying the wedding was a need for our families and close friends to reconnect as the pandemic waned, which made it all the more important for the wedding to be uniquely “us”; and 4) seeing through my stress and fatigue, and understanding my matriarch’s heart. It has been two weeks since the wedding and I am just now unpacking my suitcase. As I unpacked, I mused whether the delay in unpacking was from the desire to hang onto the beautiful memories—waking to the beautiful ocean, family lounging on the house decks or beach all day, fishing, the bridal party preferring to stay around the house and beach and talk and play rather than spend time in the city, and the men charter fishing. For all of the above, especially the resulting memories, I am forever grateful.

I hired ‘Weddings by Lydia’ about two months before my wedding date and I am so happy that I did! I personally love to plan and consider myself a very organized person, which is why I did not hire a wedding coordinator at the beginning of the planning process.
