We worked with Amber from Platinum Weddings and Events for our destination wedding in Maui. She did such a phenomenal job working with us from afar in Texas. She did everything. From responding promptly and patiently to all of our detailed questions to giving her personal insights and recommendations on vendors, Amber helped to create a wedding that exceeded our expectations. It is hard to plan a destination wedding, as it feels like you’re planning everything in disjointed pieces (especially without seeing the venue or doing any tastings). But when I stepped onto my venue, I was in awe of how everything came together and how gorgeous the design was! All of our guests said it was the prettiest wedding they’ve ever been to. It was all thanks to Amber, who helped to guide us during our planning process. On the day of, Amber worked tirelessly from the morning until night to help set up and break down. Sweat was literally dropping from her brows. During our couples photo shoot, Amber and Taryn were like friends hovering in the background, making sure our hair was in place, suits straightened out, and veils detangled from bushes (haha). They made sure that I had zero stress on my wedding day. If you’re planning a Maui wedding, I would highly recommend Platinum Weddings and Events and Amber!

We were planning a destination wedding, and knew we needed to find someone that we truly clicked with and could trust. During our first phone call, I knew right away that Taryn was the one. Working with Taryn was the easiest thing I’ve ever done! She has the absolute best energy, and works tirelessly for her brides-to-be! I kept expecting and wondering if the wedding stress everyone talked about would kick in, and it just never did. I provided Taryn with a mood board, and then gave my input as she asked for more information. Taryn took all of my ideas and made them reality! I fully trusted that she would make my day special, but she made everything even more beautiful and seamless than I could have imagined. Every vendor that Taryn recommended went above and beyond our wildest expectations. Every single thing on the day of was absolutely perfect. My husband and I worked with Amber to plan our destination wedding in Maui at Sugar Beach Events and we are so happy to have had her as our planner! Planning this wedding could’ve easily been SO MUCH more stressful if we didn’t have all the help of Amber coordinating our vendors and wedding details. Our actual wedding day was perfect, and even though a bird happened to poop on my dress, Amber and her assistant worked so hard to clean it off so that our pictures and videos were as perfect as possible. Many of our guests mentioned how well the evening flowed without flaws and its all thanks to Amber. It also helped that she was so calm and easy to talk to while we were planning and on the wedding day as well! We are so beyond thankful of the PWE team!!!

We found Platinum Wedding through Wedding Spot when we decided to have our wedding at the beautiful Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa in Lahaina, HI. I had no idea what we were thinking deciding to have a wedding 4,800 miles away! Platinum Weddings made the whole process a lot easier and our wedding turned out to be the most amazing day ever. Dani was our wedding planner and I cannot say enough good things about her. When I didn’t know what direction to go with the flowers or the decorations, she had a lot of good ideas that she brought to the table from her previous experiences with other weddings, which I found tremendously helpful. It was so easy to communicate with her either over the phone or via email and I never waited more than a day to hear back from her (mostly within a few hours!) She also was able to upgrade our room to where the wedding venue was, which also helped greatly on our actual wedding day. The vendors were equally amazing. From our talented ukulele soloist to our unbelievably funny and kind photographer and his team, they were all just perfect. I would highly recommend Platinum Weddings to anyone planning a wedding in Maui. Thank you to Taryn and Dani for all the hard work you put in to make that day so special for us. Mahalo.

We were impressed from the start when Taryn was so helpful and responsive even when facing a hurricane and its aftermath. We were very lucky to work with Amber for our wedding. She was so approachable and extremely professional – you can tell she genuinely cares about her clients. She was great at responding to all my questions and had brilliant ideas and suggestions to help us execute our vision. The vendors we worked with were fantastic and having Platinum manage all of that was a godsend. I don’t know what we would have done without them.
