It may seem early, but if you are getting married in the spring or summer, you’ll want to start planning now! Below are some great tips for a fresh look to your summer wedding decor.
When planning this styled shoot, we wanted to do something fun and fresh while staying classic with the theme. It was the middle of the hottest MD summer in a long time, so we made lemonade! Citrus with vintage china seemed to be the perfect combination and the classic blue and white design is exactly what we wanted when picking out the china.
With the decor and table, We went with something intimate but bold. A small sweetheart table that was low to the ground with a big and bold bouquet. Beautiful china with real lemon place cards and colored glasses. The grassy area next to the pond was the perfect place to set up the tablescape.
Instead of doing a cake in the middle of the summer heat, we went with custom cookies! Having the “Main Squeeze” slogan incorporated was important to us, and cookies are becoming more and more popular at weddings!
For florals we wanted to do something classic with a twist. Not only were they beautiful shades of yellow and cream, but we had real lemons incorporated to stay on theme! Even the Boutonnières had lemon slices to keep it fresh and unique.
Since the colors were blue and yellow, we spent some time deciding which route to go. Both of the suits were different shades of blue with coordinating bowties, suspends, and boutonnières. Rather than doing one blue and one yellow tux or two of the same color, we wanted to do different but matching shades of blue. The blue was much more subtle than a yellow tux, but we went with brighter and more summery shades of blue.
