How did you meet?

Both Megan and I worked at Walmart at the time.  We both had a mutual crush on each other, but Megan was too shy to talk to me and avoided me at all costs. Finally, a mutual friend let us in on each other’s interest, and that is how our relationship began.

How/when/where did the proposal happen?

From the proposal, I told Megan we were going for a late night drive, then I surprised her with a road trip to New York City. The last time we had gone to New York was the moment I knew I wanted to marry her, so it only seemed fit to propose in the same spot. We met up with an a cappella group in Central Park on the Gapstow Bridge, singing our song, “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur.  After they were done singing, I popped the question.

What was the vision for your wedding, the style/color/scheme?

Our vision for our wedding was just a simple, formal party based off love. We only wanted people there that could fully love and support our relationship.

How many guests?

Why did you choose your wedding venue?

A friend of the bride’s had recently gotten married at The Trails and suggested we check it out.  When we took a tour of the venue, we knew it was the one!

Describe your ceremony, what makes it unique/special?

What makes our ceremony special, is that even though we are an untraditional couple, we wanted to make the ceremony as traditional as possible.

Describe your reception, what makes it unique/special?

Our reception isn’t going to be as traditional as the ceremony. We got ride of a few ideas (like the bouquet toss/garter toss) and instead focused more on just having a great time surrounded by all of our friends and family that love us.

Describe the flowers used for floral arrangements?

We used red roses for all of our floral arrangements, because the red rose is a symbol of love, and that is what our wedding is all about.

What was the inspiration for your wedding cake?

A family friend of the bride’s is a fantastic baker, so she agreed to make the cake for us.

Describe the favors for guests?

We bought little containers at Hobby Lobby and filled them with M&M’s in our wedding colors.
