Alyshia and Dale simply wanted to just get married and have their photos taken. It was beautiful and as intimate as possible. The only people in attendance were the couple, the photographer and the officiant. Alyshia and Dale’s love was prominent the entire day. Such a fun and loving couple, they’re goofy and super cute you can tell they have such a good time together and its nonstop laughs. They are the type of couple that when you’re around them you can’t help but smile.

Q1: Tell us about your wedding!

A1: My wedding was very simplistic. An elopement actually, no actual guest. Just myself, my now wife, Kay and our Officiant. The inspiration for the whole day was boho and simple. I love nature settings, and wildflowers!

Q2: Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?
A2: Because our wedding was a very small elopement with no guest, the only decor was my wedding bouquet which I DIY’ed myself. (Thank goodness for Joanne Fabrics)

Q3: Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?
A3: I feel like being able to bring Kay with us to Hampton Historic Site made the day really special for us because that is one of our favorite places!

Q4: Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look? Describe the looks in detail.
A4: So being 6 months pregnant at the time definitely created a struggle with finding outfits for our wedding day. Neither of us are into big traditions or fancy weddings attire. So we chose green and linen, then it was very easy after that.

Q5: How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.
A5: We have actually met at McDonalds! When we were teenagers 8 years ago! And the rest is history!

Q6: What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?
A6: Honestly, just being there and taking professional photos! We’d both never done it before. And to have such an amazing photographer and Officiant who were both so excepting and made us feel so comfortable, really made the whole day special.

Q7: Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
A7: Remember that the day is about you and your soon to be spouse! Try not to stress too much about the day and enjoy every moment!

Venue: Private Residence
