Warren and Chad met at an Affirmation Conference and introduced by a friend who knew they would bond over both being teachers in the same county. Miraculously, they were also in the same graduate program, only a year apart. Right after their last class of the school year, Chad asked Warren out on a “real date”. Fast forward a year and that “real date” had blossomed into discussions of marriage.
Chad planned the proposal at Cliffside Inn Restaurant in St. George which included arranged flowers, a hand written letter, strawberry roses, and lots of laughs all while looking over the amazing view of the valley. It was the perfect evening for a proposal, and Warren knew that, in fact, he was already anticipating it and had come up with his own plan. He was going to ask Chad to marry him on the same night. It was a huge surprise when they both pulled out the exact same rings to give to each other.
After 5 COVID related replans, it was finally their wedding day. The Mayor of St. George officiated their marriage in an intimate ceremony on the quaint mountain side of St. George. Despite the many plan changes, the day was perfect. They were even able to livestream it to those who were unable to attend. Little details included bowties, wedding cake-pops, and first dances with their sisters.
