Eric and Edward celebrated their union of 32 years with a beautiful ceremony in Palm Springs. Read their story in their own words below.
From the couple:
How did you two meet?
Main Street bar in Laguna beach. I was on my way home and stopped in for a drink to people watch, and this guy (Edward) kept trying to talk to me, finally I figured he wasn’t going to leave me alone if I don’t talk to him so I did. We dated for about a year, and when we started talking about moving in together we took a cruise, figuring if we could survive a week in a little cabin, then we should be good. 32 years later we’re still talking.
Who proposed? What was your proposal like?
Neither really, it was more of a dinner discussion
Why did you choose your venue(s)?
Amin casa was because we are huge Hollywood fans, and because it just felt so comfortable and like us. Also this location had an intimate feeling, which is important to us
LuLu just because it’s one of our favorite restaurants in the desert. Great food, excellent service, and ideal location since most of our guests are from out of the area.
Are any of the details particularly special to you and why?
Main thing is wanting an intimate ceremony of just close friends and family, followed by a party. Also converting the top floor of LULu into an old Hollywood nightclub I think ultimately it comes down to the intimacy.
What are you looking forward to the most about your wedding day?
Other than finally being able to refer to each other as husband rather than “friend” or partner and the fact that we are celebrating it with our friends and family”
