We met through mutual friends at a bar. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her all night. At one point she was at the bar a person down from my friends and I. My friend actually slid her one of my business cards as a joke to embarrass me and she slid it right back and said if you want to talk to me, TALK to me! Haha! That’s where it all began.

How she proposed?
We booked a last minute trip to Mexico to get away. Meredith has never been so I couldn’t wait for her to see how beautiful it is! Right before we left, she told me she had booked a surprise for me that Wednesday evening. I started looking up activities that were taking place during the evening at our resort and I was positive it was a cover Michael Jackson show. I couldn’t have been more wrong! While she was rushing me to get ready, she started to act so weird. Pacing around our room, the balcony, etc. Once I rushed to be ready on time- she then stalls. I was so confused! Come to find out after the proposal- their were apparently kids playing in the mote of the heart the hotel had set up for the evening proposal.

We walked down stairs and down to the beach. It was super windy! I could start to see tiki torches lighting up the beach and once we got closer- realized it was for a proposal and was trying to pull Meredith out of the way. Come to find out it was for me! She was trying to pull me towards the lit up heart in the sand while proposing to me. I could barely hear anything bc of the wind, but I of course said yes! Meredith started to cry, but she looked upset. The first thing out of her mouth after I blurted our yes was “your mom is going to be so mad at me! I hired a photographer, but they aren’t here.” Poor thing! Luckily there were a lot of really nice people standing around watching and offered to take pictures for us. It was perfect! I wouldn’t have changed a thing.
