Katy & Rebecca live in Brooklyn and decided to have a late fall destination wedding and invite their friends and family from all over the U.S. gather in Chicago at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. Their wedding day was gorgeous, unseasonably warm, and full of romance. Katy wore a black tuxedo inspired wedding dress and Rebecca wore a beautiful lace dress from BHLDN with a custom veil. We started out with getting ready at Hotel Palomar downtown and a first look on the rooftop terrace with emotional family members looking on. Katy, Rebecca, their wedding party dubbed “wing women” and I started our location shooting in Wrigleyville at Wrigley Field, where they had their first date. We shot at Lake Michigan where I got some of my very favorite photos from the season. We ended up at the museum with a walk through the butterfly sanctuary. The very touching ceremony was held outside at sunset, a cocktail party inside a museum nature walk exhibition followed, and the reception afterwards had a killer dance floor.
