Cassandra and Ashley have a love story that makes your heart smile. Engaged since 2018, they did not allow COVID to destroy their original date of 10.24.20. Instead, they accepted the reality and moved the date to April 24, 2021. Their love is unconditional in every sense of the word.
1. How did you meet? (Told from Ashley’s Perspective)
We met through my close friends who went to Cassie’s bar and had a great time. My friends told me about Cassie and stated I should meet her. On a random November evening, I went with a couple of friends to Union Market in Washington DC where Cassie was bartending. Cassie says that she noticed me outside of the window before I even entered the establishment. When I sat down and ordered my first drink, we immediately connected. When it was time to leave, I wrote my number on the receipt (old school style) and Cassie handed me her phone.
Meeting that night, led to our first date and five years later we heading towards the alter.
2. What advice would you give to other couples when planning a wedding?
For all couples that are planning a wedding, especially during this pandemic, we offer the following words of advice: communicate openly with one another, take one task at a time, and do not be afraid to ask for help.
3. What are your plans for the big day?
Cassie & I have been looking forward to our big day for a while. We had to postpone due to COVID-19, so we are now looking forward to safely having fun, enjoying good cocktails and food, and dancing the evening away in Baltimore! We are excited for the day to celebrate our love with our family & friends!
