Asbury Park Boardwalk is where Danielle proposed to Caitlin; therefore, it was the obvious choice when asked where to take their engagement photos. It was a beautiful, yet chilly, windy day in February. Despite the cold, the sun was out and shining, and Caitlin and Danielle kept each other warm!
“The original plan was to take our dog, Mia, to the beach in Asbury Park. When the forecast wasn’t looking so good, Danielle said we should still get brunch but leave Mia behind. More than halfway to Asbury, it started pouring rain!
We still drove to the beach in hopes the rain would stop. Danielle was very persistent. We parked and sat for a while, as rain poured all over the car. Danielle seemed nervous but patient, and me, not so much. Finally, after 20 minutes or so, the rain let up, so we walked on to the beach. I had a feeling this was going to be the moment because of Danielle’s nervousness. Danielle walked closer to the entrance of the beach, where her two best friends were now standing with Mia! Once Mia realized we were there, she came running over to us with the cutest banana around her neck asking, “will you marry Mommy”? Once Mia got to me, I was overwhelmed by emotion and began to cry. Danielle then got down on one knee and said: “Caitlin, I love you, will you marry me”?
The ring was everything I wanted it to be. We then attempted to take some cute photos with Mia, but the rain only allowed just about enough time for the proposal. The next surprise was a room at the Berkeley hotel where a bottle of champagne awaited us. The rest of the night, after dinner at Taka, was spent celebrating with our closest family and friends at the Berkeley.”
Caitlin and Danielle are so excited to get married this October at The English Manor. “We’re both super excited about spending the day with the people who support us the most. We want to celebrate our day with those who will always be there. Danielle is also very much anticipating the “first look,” this is the first time she’ll be seeing THE WEDDING DRESS!”
