Newly reimagined and nautically inspired, Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach – a DoubleTree by Hilton has completed a multi-year $15 million property-wide renovation including new culinary programming and restaurant concepts at Breezes and Waves Rooftop Pool Bar & Grill. As the iconic centerpiece of Fort Lauderdale Beach, the hotel is a beachfront getaway, situated on 40 acres between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean.

Guest Rooms & Suites
Bahia Mar consists of 296 fully renovated guest rooms and suites, many with sweeping ocean views, new custom carpets throughout the rooms and hallways, new fixtures including floor-to-ceiling headboards, custom lighting with convenient USB outlets, drapery and new appliances. The iconic property has also revitalized its lobby, common spaces, fitness center, swimming pool and Breezes restaurant.
Meetings & Events
Largely designed by ID & Design International and Adache Group Architects, the award-winning property currently features 25,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting and event space with sea life-inspired chandeliers, custom lighting and Chiavari chairs. Recognized by ConventionSouth Magazine as one of the Best 2019 New and Renovated Meeting Sites, Bahia Mar accommodates groups of almost any size (up to 900 guests) for a variety of gatherings including stylish weddings, corporate meetings, and renowned events such as the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and Tortuga Music Festival.
“Bahia Mar has long been known as a jewel of the city, and with this redesign, we were mindful of the property’s unique history and its allure as a top yachting destination,” said designer Sherif Ayad of IDDI. “We wanted to capture this nautical feel by creating indoor and outdoor spaces that are reminiscent of being underwater.”
Food & Beverage
Led by Executive Chef Eduardo Ruberte, the property’s new culinary program includes Breezes, a full-service indoor and outdoor restaurant, serving gourmet cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner; Waves Rooftop Pool Bar & Grill, serving fresh seafood dishes with panoramic ocean views; and The Market perfect for quick snacks including, a variety of beverages, sandwiches, homemade gelato, and more. Bahia Mar will fully complete the property renovations with the opening of High Tide Lounge, a rooftop patio and banquet venue in March 2019.
In partnership with the world-class Yachting Center, Bahia Mar features an impressive 250-slip marina that accommodates 100 mega-yachts, 3,000 square-feet of parallel dockage, and over four miles of floating docks. Bahia Mar also offers a selection of fun-filled activities for the family, including water sports, sightseeing cruises aboard the Jungle Queen or the Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi, snorkeling, scuba excursions with Sea Experience and more.
