Tell us about your wedding!

Our love was our inspiration, and the chance to expose it to our family and friends… sharing and celebrating it in the ocean, our best place to be!

Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?

We tried to keep it simple. We are called “the flowers” by our friends, so basically, the boat was decorated with bunch of white flowers! Specially roses. The ceremony arch was in the catamaran’s bow, decorated with white roses, simple but beautiful!!!

What were the florals like in your wedding?

We had white flowers for our maids of honor and minister. Our bouquets were maid by my mother in law and mom. They made the centerpieces too, it was simple; two kinds, one with flowers and the others, sand and a candle

Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?

Our wedding cake, had the ocean colors; our first idea was to put two surfboards on the top, we had problems with that, but still we got the colors of our favorite place to be. We offered some Venezuelan typical food in the wedding; in Venezuelan weddings there can never  miss “tequeños”. Favorite parts: our entrance to the marina and to our catamaran, greeted by our family and friends that were waiting for us. Being able to walk with our dads towards de arch.  Our “Yes” in the ceremony, surrounded by our parents. Dancing in the catamaran, only happiness could be breathed. Our salsa dance entrance in the second place where we continued the party. We had a tree in the entrance, and the idea was that every guest had to put on it wishes for us!!!

Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look? Describe the looks in detail.

Gaby wanted a dress that represented the ocean, with waves silhouettes. She finally found it, and talked to our seamstress. Finding her dress fabric caused a little stress, because of the place we live… but we found it. My dress, I wanted it like a bohemian beach wedding dress, 2 pieces ; I found the perfect picture and showed it to our seamstress. The dress fabric wasn’t that complicated. The hairstyle, totally loose; we totally wanted flower crowns for our special day.

How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.

We met in an app. Gaby was the one who texted first, we started talking for weeks and finally we met. Since that moment, for me (Jessica) it was all clear, we were going to spent our lives together. Almost two years later, We went on vacations to a beautiful place in Loreto, we camped 2 nights, and there, below a tree, ocean front  and a spectacular view, Gaby proposed, and I totally said yes! I had no doubt of my decision.
