The emotional wedding of Chloe and G took place in Bellingham and was a day filled with emotion, family, tears of joy, unexpected surprises and one hell of party.
Tell us about your wedding!
Answer: I’ve always had an entire Pinterest board dedicated to my wedding some day, and when that day arrived it was exactly how I wanted. She and I agreed on everything and she saw my vision even better than I did. We strived to keep it earthy, and decorate our venue to compliment the space.
Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception?
Answer: Most of our decor was from the florist. We didn’t want to overcomplicate the set up and decided that the fresh greenery would do more. But any other decor was DIY or thrifted!
What were the florals like in your wedding?
Answer: What really helped ya the most, was having a beautiful venue. Twin Sisters Brewing is exactly our style. It contains a lot of metal, concrete, and industrial vibes, so we just accented the space. We used a lot of greenery, and stayed dark with the florals. Burgundy, dark green, black, and a hint of white.
Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)?
Answer: We gave everyone a personalized shot glasses, as well as traditional Filipino food that G, her mother, and friend all made! 800 rolls of lumpia
Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look?
Answer: Pinterest! I also naught my dress from preowned wedding dress online. I recommend trying on a few dresses and then looking them up online. Also JJhouse has really amazing veils for ridiculously cheap prices.
How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.
Answer: We met at work actually! We both work for Twin Sisters Brewing, and quickly became infatuated with each other. Ever since we’ve met, we’re inseparable. She my best friend, wife, and coworker, what else could I want?
What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?
Answer: Finally getting to say I Do!By the wedding day, all we wanted was to be married and done with wedding planning haha. I couldn’t wait any longer and we almost just eloped a couple months before the wedding.
Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
Answer: Remember that you’re preparing for a marriage and not a wedding. The wedding day is only one day out of the rest of your life, so make sure the main focus while planning a wedding, is planning for a marriage. Honestly if I could do it again, I would get married in a court house, have a really fun party after, and go on a kick ass honeymoon.
